Treiso
Treiso, meeting name "Treis" derives from the fact that this village was near the third milestone from Alba Pompeia, along the "Via Magistra Langarum" (Langhe's mainroad) from Alba to Liguria. Pertinace, in wich Stone and Iron Age's traces were found, and Manzola ( Villa Mauxsionis in ancient times) were two places for stopping and getting refreshment along the way to Alba.
Nowadays Treiso and its surroundings are very interesting tour destinations, thanks to their fragrant air, their sources and landscapes.
The allure of these places grows as seasons pass up to a beautiful symphony of sounds an colours: on the slopes you can see alternately lines of grapevines and elder and acacia's thickets (shelters for birds, squirrels and hedgehags).
The cared-for vines seem ninetheenth century wigs with their well-combed curls as bunches of grapes lode like precious jewels, attracting tourists.
